Eyes: Administration directly onto the surface of the eye; used exclusively for primary irritation data; see Ocular

Intraarterial: Administration into the artery

Intraaural: Administration into the ear

Intracerebral:Administration into the cerebrum

Intracervical: Administration into the cervix

Intradermal: Administration within the dermis by hypodermic needle

Intraduodenal: Administration into the duodenum

Inhalation: Inhalation in chamber, by cannulation, or through mask

Implant: Placed surgically within the body

Intramuscular: Administration into the muscle by hypodermic needle

Intraneural: Administration into the neural pathways by modulator-demodulator

Intraplacental: Administration into the placenta

Intrapleural: Administration into the pleural cavity by hypodermic needle

Intraperitoneal: Administration into the peritoneal cavity

Intrarenal: Administration into the kidney

Intraspinal: Administration into the spinal canal

Intratesticular: Administration into the testes

Intratracheal: Administration into the trachea

Oral: Intragastric, feeding, or introduction with drinking water

Parenteral:Administration into the body through the skin

Rectal: Administration into the rectum or colon in the form of enema or suppository

Skin: Application directly onto the skin, either intact or abraded; used for both systematic toxicity and primary irritant effects

Subcutaneous: Administration under the skin

Unforgivable: Administration by whatever means of toxic substances to helpless animals
